Clear lesson prices for learner drivers, overseas licence holders and students preparing for the current South Australian VORT driving test.
All lesson prices below include GST. The five-hour discount package is not offered on the English service.

Beginner Driving Lessons
Step-by-step training in vehicle control, observation, road positioning, give-way rules and safe decision-making.
VORT Test Preparation
Structured practice for observation, signalling, speed control, road positioning, manoeuvres and independent driving.
Overseas Licence Conversion
Training to identify differences between overseas driving habits and South Australian road rules and test expectations.
Current VORT Fees and the 2027 Reform
Current arrangements: VORT assessment fees are separate from Happy Driving School lesson fees. Driver-training and assessment fees are currently set by individual operators, so confirm the examiner’s price, vehicle arrangement, payment terms and cancellation policy before booking.
Future change: South Australia expects the reformed system to begin in the first half of 2027. Until it starts, current authorised examiners can continue conducting tests. Under the new system, Class C practical driving tests will be conducted by government examiners.

What to Bring
South Australian learner permit
Bring a valid learner permit. A digital licence in the mySAGOV app may be used where accepted.
Overseas licence
Bring your original overseas licence, suitable photo identification and any official English translation required for your circumstances.
Wear secure footwear that allows safe pedal control. A lesson may not proceed if the required licence documents are unavailable or the vehicle or footwear is unsafe.
Booking and Cancellation
Driving lessons
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Less notice may result in the full lesson fee being charged, subject to rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
VORT assessments
VORT fees, cancellation terms, late-arrival rules and vehicle arrangements are set by the authorised examiner. Confirm them directly before booking.
