很多时候，学生问教练的第一个问题就是：我需要学多久？

学多久主要取决于：你过去是否有驾驶的经验？

如果你有中国驾照，在澳洲上下班买东西都是开车的。每周大约有三小时在驾驶上。那上课基本上就是熟悉路考的规则(见路考相关)，练一练考试要求的规范动作，和改一改坏习惯什么的。大约就是和教练在两三周内上3-4小时的课就可以了。建议整个课程在两至三周来完成就好了。一周不够时间练习。超过三周很多时候，规范动作会忘记。

如果是新手或本本族(拿了本之后就没有开车了)，统计上来说要学最少14小时到20小时的课。主要还是取决于：

• 课后是否有亲友陪练。

• 学生自己的运动神经(小脑)的学习能力，例如：在小中学时是否有参加球类运动(足球，羽毛球⋯但不包括田径运动。)

• 年龄与学历，一份英国的研究显示，科学类，会计类硕士以上学历路考的初次通过率会比其他人低一些。(reference: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/smart-people-driving-test-fail-clever-more-likely-research-car-gcse-results-academic-a7852296.html)

• 年轻时是否有玩电子游戏，例如：赛车，战机类。

所谓的车感，其实只是通过大量的练习把车技carcraft 融入习惯内。在过去12年教车生涯内，大约1900学生也只有两个＂天才＂学生用了5小时半就通过了正规路考。究竟驾驶是一个life long skill, 没有捷径。

不管你是有经验的驾驶者还是一个新手，在网上看了多少资料。很多时候考驾照就有点像学功夫一样，讲究的是小脑的动作而不是大脑。很多时候是需要教练或者师傅手把手的教导。

当然，如果你天生慧根，无师自通。拿直接考试就可以了。不用上课。

大部份说中文的教练档期都很满，建议学生订课时一口气根据自己的需要把头两至三节课先订好。以免课与课之间相隔太久，失去了练习的效果。

为了方便学生可以在私下时间练习，我在东区做了一条模拟的考试路线。其中有几条是从副路转右驶出繁忙道路，请注意练习时请尽量避开上下班高峰。侧方停车和进出库并不会包括在这条模拟考试路线上。

在2019年底路局发给教练的通讯中，强调了路考时考官必须用英文作行车指令(车内不能有翻译)。以下是考官常用的英文指令和翻译。

原文：Conducting Practical driving tests in English

Finally on audits it is a requirement that all practical driving tests are conducted in English. As outlined in the Operators Manuals the event (VORT or CBT&A last training session) commences with the meet and greet and does not finish until the end of the debrief at the conclusion of the test. All of this must be conducted in English.

交通灯：

• At the traffic light, turn right. 前方交通灯，转右。

 

很多时侯考官会说多个交通灯，例如：

• At the first traffic light, turn left. 第一个交通灯，转左。

 

 

• At the second traffic light, turn right. 第二个交通灯，转右。

 

• At the third traffic light, turn left. 第三个交通灯，转左。

 

• At the fourth traffic light, turn left. 第四个交通灯，转左。

 

 

 

有时候考官会用交通灯作为地标:

 

 

• After the traffic light, turn right. 前方交通灯之后，转右。

 

转盘/环岛/回旋处:

 

 

• At the roundabout, turn left. 转盘，转左。

 

• At the second roundabout, turn right. 第二个转盘，转右。

 

• At the roundabout, go straight. 转盘，直行。

 

 

 

路口：

 

 

• At the first road on your left, turn left. 从左面数起第一个路口，转左。

 

• At the second road on your right, turn right. 从左面数起第二个路口，转右。

 

其它指令：

• Park to the left. 靠边停车。
• Lane change to the left. 变左道。
• Lane change to the right. 变右道。
• Follow the road. 跟着路走。

5个基本动作：

• Moving off from kerb 出车练习。

• Three point turn 3点掉头。

• U-turn U字掉头。

• Angle Park 直角停车。

• Reverse Parallel Park 侧方停车。

警方将指控该男子于去年10月18日在伊丽莎白区接受路考，当时他在考试不及格后试图贿赂考官。

在北区警察调查之后，这名来自巴罗莎地区的23岁男子于2月5日星期三已行賄罪被捕。 他已获保释，将于3月13日在伊丽莎白地方法院出庭。

A man will face court after he allegedly attempted to bribe a public officer.

Police will allege the man was undergoing a practical driving test on Friday 18 October last year at Elizabeth, when he attempted to bribe the examiner from the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, after failing his test.

Following investigations by detectives from Northern District CIB, the 23-year-old from the Barossa region was arrested and charged on Wednesday 5 February with bribe a public officer. He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrate Court on 13 March.
